At the opening today in New Delhi of the 34th General Assembly of ISO, the world’s largest developer of International Standards, Prof. K. V. Thomas, India’s Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, said: “We recognize standardization as a vital component of our growth engine, an important facilitator of trade and a major tool for protection of consumer interest.”
